We are supporting ICAN (Infection Control Africa Network) in their Cape to Cairo Project.
The principal objective of the Cape to Cairo (CtC) Project is to increase infection prevention and control (IPC) education and awareness amongst all healthcare workers and within the communities they serve, across the African continent, no matter how remote. 75% of healthcare services in Africa are provided by Nurses – many working remotely with limited resources. Fortunately, they all have a mobile phone.
ICAN will use novel SMS Text messaging to provide leadership , education and training to support the health delivery systems at the community level. Essential support, vital to survival and sustained well-being of healthcare workers, patients and families. Smartphones will transform healthcare!
Sending the Texts that Save Lives.
